The Castle Doctrine (Senate Bill 928)

The Castle Doctrine would allow individuals to use defensive force, including that which is intended to or could cause death or bodily harm, against any individual who unlawfully enters the individual's home (or another's home which they are residing at) in protection of their own or another's life while providing immunity from criminal prosecution or civil action for taking said defensive actions.

Eminent Domain (House Bill 1659)

House Bill 1659, entitled Eminent Domain, is a proposed Amendment to the North Carolina State Constitution to protect private property rights. If passed by the NC General Assembly, the people of North Carolina would be asked to vote to amend the NC Constitution by inserting a new section (19.1 Eminent Domain) in the Declaration of Rights which would read, "Private property shall not be taken by eminent domain except for a public use. Public use does not include the taking of property in order to convey an interest in the property for economic development. Just compensation shall be paid and, if demanded, shall be determined by a jury."

Protect Health Care Freedom (House Joint Res. 1674)

During the 2010 Short Session of the NC General Assembly, only certain bills can be heard, mostly bills which passed one house during the previous long session, budget or appropriation bills or constitutioanl amendments. Due to this, the Protect Health Care Freedom House Joint Resolution was introduced in order to allow the General Assembly to introduce and consider a bill that would otherwise not been able to to be introduced in the 2010 Short Session. Once the House Joint Resolution passes, the resolution will allow for a new bill entitled An Act to Protect the Freedom to Choose Health Care and Health Insurance to be introduced to exempt North Carolina citizens from being forced to enroll in insurance as mandated by H.R. 4872 - Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 passed by the US Congress in early 2010.

Dissapprove Comm. College Rule/Illegal Aliens (House Bill 1679)

House Bill 1679 would effectively overturn the recent decision by the State Board of Community Colleges to admit illegal aliens by preventing Community Colleges from admitting any individual who is not lawfully present in the United States.

Unborn Victims of Violence Act (House Joint Resolution 2032)

House Joint Resolution 2032 is an attempt to have a bill entitled the Unborn Victims of Violence Act heard during the 2010 Short Session the NC General Assembly. The bill would create criminal offenses for acts that cause the death or injury of an unborn child or are committed against a pregnant woman.

Speak, Read, & Write English/Driver License (House Bill 1963)

House Bill 1963 would require all applicants for a North Carolina Driver's License be able to speak or read and write in the English language to be eligible to recieve a license, thereby cutting down cost in the production of manuals and tests.

No Seizure of Firearms in Emergency/Funds (House Bill 2031)

House Bill 2031 would clarify that the laws relating to declared states of emergency do not authorize the seizure of lawfully possessed firearms, ammunition, or ammunition components and do not authorize restrictions or prohibitions on the possession, transportation, sale, purchase, storage, or use of lawfully possessed firearms, ammunition, or ammunition components.
