Whereas, the Constitution Party of North Carolina, the State’s only 100% Pro-Life political party, is completely opposed to any form of abortion for any reason, and
Whereas, Thomas Jefferson so profoundly stated that “[to] compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical” and it naturally follows that the founders, as does the Constitution Party of North Carolina, would view funding of abortions with tax-payer funds as “sinful and tyrannical,” therefore be in it
Resolved, that the Constitution Party of North Carolina commends Wake County Manager David Cooke for temporarily ending tax-payer funded health coverage of elective abortions and condemns the decision of the Wake County Board of Commissioners to reinstate this “tyrannical” coverage of elective abortions. The Constitution Party of North Carolina calls on the Wake County Board of Commissioners to terminate the use of tax-payer funds for coverage of the elective murder of the unborn and to completely end tax-payer funded coverage of abortion for any reason including rape, incest and life of the mother.
