Whereas, the Constitution Party of North Carolina recognizes the current tyrannical atmosphere created by both Big Box political party’s elected representatives as being unconducive to the protection of Citizen’s rights under the Constitution; and
Whereas, “all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights;” and
Whereas, people are born with natural rights that come from nature and nature’s God, not from government; and
Whereas, “to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed;” and
Whereas, “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government;” and
Whereas, “Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes;” and
Whereas, “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their [citizen’s] right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government;” and
Whereas, all law enforcement officers and members of the legislative, executive and judicial branches before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, shall take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the constitution of this state, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of _______________ according to the best of my ability;” and
Whereas, all military personnel before entering upon their duties in the Armed forces of these United States of America shall take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation: (§ 502. Enlistment oath) “I ___________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God;” and
Whereas, the Nuremberg Trials at the end of World War II correctly determined what is now known as Nuremberg Principle IV that “[the] fact that a person acted pursuant to order of his Government or of a superior does not relieve him from responsibility under international law, provided a moral choice was in fact possible to him;” and
Whereas, the North Carolina Chapter of Oath Keeper’s Mission is calling on law enforcement, military both past and present and the people’s elected representatives to honor their oath of office to support the Constitution; and
Whereas, the Constitution Party of North Carolina calls on and holds all citizens to their civic duty to support and defend the Constitution of these United States of America, and therefore be in it
Resolved, that the Constitution Party of North Carolina supports the North Carolina Chapter of Oath Keeper’s Mission to call on law enforcement, elected representatives and military both past and present to honor their oath to defend the Constitution of these United States of America and to protect the citizen’s rights to life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness by honoring Oath Keeper’s Declaration of Orders We Will Not Obey.
